Reiki-Sante (english)

A reiki master teacher is a person who has been initiated into all the stages, symbols and rituals in order to transmit them in turn to others.
The title of reiki master does not exist in Japan. No diploma or organisation exists to verify or validate the capacity of a particular master teacher to practice reiki. The only thing a master teacher can present when requested is his “genealogy” – a list of masters, showing who initiated who, going back to Mikao Usui.

To choose a master teacher, it’s a good idea to observe how he goes about initiating people. Does he try to indoctrinate people into his own philosophy or does he respect their belief system? Does he charge exorbitant prices?  The most important point to check is whether he creates a relationship based on mutual trust and respect. Once you’ve eliminated the risk of being manipulated, you’ll still need to find someone with whom you feel comfortable, in harmony. A reiki master is not a spiritual guide.
